Jamf Pro integration
Pull the Macs, iPhones and iPads that Jamf Pro manages into the register, matched by serial number, with the hardware spec Jamf already holds.
What it does
The Jamf connector signs in with an API client and reads the computer inventory from your Jamf Pro instance, then the mobile device inventory where the API role can see it. Each device is reconciled against the register by serial number first, then hostname, and lands in the review queue under Discovered. An administrator links it to the matched asset, imports it as a new asset, or ignores it.
Re-syncs run daily or weekly, or on demand with Sync now. Each run updates the same discovered record, and a device you have already linked, imported or ignored never comes back. The Intune connector feeds the same queue, so Windows and Apple devices are reviewed in one place. The device sync documentation has the setup steps.
What comes across
For Macs the sync reads the name, serial number, make, model and operating system with its version, plus the processor (chip name and core count), RAM and total storage across the physical disks. For iPhones and iPads it reads the name, serial number, model, OS version and storage capacity; iOS reports no CPU or RAM.
On link or import, CPU, RAM and storage fill the asset's spec fields where they are empty. A value you typed by hand is never overwritten. Apple Silicon and mobile storage are not upgradeable, so a synced spec stays right. The review queue shows the specs before you import.

- Ownership and compliance filters exist for Intune; Jamf reports neither, so they never drop a Jamf device
- A daily or weekly schedule, or off, plus Sync now
- Review policy: queue everything, or auto-link confident serial matches and queue the rest
- Choose which descriptive fields to import; serial, hostname and name are always kept
- An optional client secret expiry date, warned 30, 7 and 1 days ahead in the daily digest

A read-only API client in Jamf Pro and a free beta key.
An API role in Jamf Pro
Create a role with read access to computer and mobile device inventory. Read is all it needs; Tagaris never writes back.

Create an API client that uses the role, and note its client ID and client secret.
A beta key
Device sync is a free beta. Email [email protected] for a key, then apply it under Settings, Application, Licence. It sits alongside a Team licence if you have one (see licensing).

Settings, Integrations, then Jamf Pro. Enter the instance URL (for example
https://yourorg.jamfcloud.com), the client ID and the client secret, and
use Test connection. Enable the connector, pick a schedule, or run Sync now.
The Jamf connector is in beta: it is built and unit-tested against Jamf's API responses, and has not yet been verified against a live Jamf tenant. If you run Jamf Pro and try it, the result either way is useful. Tell [email protected] what happened.
What it will not do
- Install an agent. Nothing runs on the Mac or the phone.
- Write to Jamf. No enrolment changes, no remote commands, no edits to the inventory.
- Create assets on its own. Under the auto-link policy only a confident serial match to an existing asset links itself; everything else waits for review.
- Run in real time. Runs are daily, weekly or on demand.
- Fail the whole run when mobile inventory is unavailable. If the role cannot read mobile devices, or there are none, the computers still come through.

Common questions
Does the sync include iPhones and iPads?
Yes, where the API role can read the mobile device inventory. Name, serial number, model, OS version and storage capacity come across. iOS exposes no CPU or RAM, so those stay blank.
Has the Jamf connector been tested against a live Jamf Pro tenant?
Not yet. It is built and unit-tested against Jamf's documented API responses, which is why it is in beta and free. Feedback from a real tenant is what moves it out of beta.
Will the sync overwrite CPU, RAM or storage I entered by hand?
No. Synced values fill only the spec fields that are empty on the asset. Anything you typed stays as it is.
Do I need the Team licence for Jamf sync?
No. Device sync is a free beta on any tier, including the free tier. Request a key from [email protected] and apply it under Settings, Application, Licence.
