Terms of Use

Effective date: 16 September 2026  ·  Published by Goodhall Solutions Ltd

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before accessing or using Tagaris. By downloading, installing or using Tagaris in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Tagaris.

These Terms cover the Tagaris software and licence keys. Use of our websites generally is governed by the Goodhall Solutions Terms of Use, the master version of our website terms.

1. About Tagaris

Tagaris is a self-hosted IT asset register developed and published by Goodhall Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Tagaris is designed to be installed on your own infrastructure. Your asset register and any data it holds remain on your own server. Goodhall Solutions Ltd does not have access to that data.

2. Ongoing development

Tagaris is actively developed software. Please be aware of the following:

  • Features, functionality and data formats may change between releases.
  • The software may contain bugs or incomplete features.
  • We recommend keeping regular backups of your database and uploaded files.

3. Licence grant

Subject to these Terms, Goodhall Solutions Ltd grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Tagaris in accordance with your chosen tier. The self-hosted free tier may be used at no charge. Paid Team features and add-ons are enabled by a licence key issued by Goodhall Solutions Ltd.

This licence does not include the right to:

  • Copy, distribute, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit Tagaris or any part of it.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices, branding or labels in the software.
  • Share, resell or transfer a licence key issued to you.
  • Use one licence key on more than one production instance. A key licenses a single running instance; separate test or staging copies for your own use are fine.

4. Licence keys and payment

Paid features are enabled by a licence key. Applying a key contacts our licensing service once to activate it and store a signed certificate; after that the licence is verified offline on your own server using Ed25519 signatures. Monthly subscriptions make a small daily check to renew. Air-gapped servers can apply a licence file instead. A self-hosted instance sends no telemetry; its only other default outbound call is a daily check for a newer version, which can be switched off.

Team licences are purchased through our website or arranged directly with us. Pricing and terms for a licence are agreed at the point of purchase. The seat count and the features a key grants are set by the licence itself. If a licence lapses or is not renewed, the paid features stop and the instance returns to the free tier. Your asset data is not affected and remains available to you. Trial keys are issued free for 30 days, one per organisation, expire automatically and are covered by these Terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use Tagaris only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not use Tagaris to:

  • Store or process personal data in a way that breaches applicable data protection law.
  • Circumvent security controls or attempt to access systems beyond your authorisation.
  • Break the licence restrictions set out in section 3.

6. Intellectual property

Tagaris and all associated intellectual property rights are owned by Goodhall Solutions Ltd or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7. No warranty

Tagaris is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Goodhall Solutions Ltd does not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted or meet your specific requirements.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Goodhall Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of Tagaris, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with these Terms shall not exceed £100.

9. Third-party software

Tagaris may incorporate or depend on open-source or third-party software components. Those components are governed by their own licences. Goodhall Solutions Ltd makes no representations regarding any third-party software.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Tagaris after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
